Economic Empowerment & Enterprise Development (3ED)

The EDACT Economic Empowerment and Enterprise Development (3ED) program is designed to equip entrepreneurs, small businesses, nonprofits, and underserved communities in Minnesota, particularly Immigrant and BIPOC-owned enterprises and individuals, with the practical skills, systems, technology, and trusted relationships they need to grow income, build stronger organizations, and create lasting wealth.

Delivered in partnership with Stearns Bank, this program provides ongoing education and support to community members seeking to improve their financial wellbeing — monthly virtual workshops, self-paced online courses, and personalized coaching in budgeting, saving, credit management, debt reduction, investing, financial planning, and accessing funding. All learning takes place on the EDACT Training Academy platform. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate.

A free, weekly virtual consultation for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, offered in collaboration with Stearns Bank — connecting participants with experienced loan officers for direct guidance on financial planning, business financing options, the loan application process, credit evaluation, and strategies for expansion. Sessions are held every Wednesday from 12:00–1:00 PM CST via Zoom; registration closes at noon the day before.
